Hi, I was born with spina bifida, but I was never able to get SSD at all, due to the fact that I couldn't work for more than 6 months, from being in the hospital so much. Which makes it hard for someone like me to even work because we are already recovering from surgeries or for some other reason, what I want is to be able to have people be able to apply for SSD right at birth if their child is born that way. Its NOT the childs fault, but if we cant work for 5 years we cant get it, as well we cant apply for anything else until age 18, disabled people don't want to have to worry that they cant make the 5 years for SSD, but when they are out of the hospital be able to live normally! And if we can work then great... but don't punish us because we cant!
