I am a 60 yr. old female living in Florida where the Governor is not a proponent of health care. There has been a "crack down" on "pill mills" and that has trickled down from the bad doctors to the great doctors. These great doctors are afraid to write prescriptions for people like me (I have severe sciatic nerve pain), and if they do prescribe pain-killers, drug stores here often won't fill them. This hysteria is killing me. To get some relief, I have had to resort to using an o-t-c analgesic found at feed stores. My sciatic pain has raised my blood pressure to dangerous levels. I am not over-weight and otherwise in good health, but I am depressed and my husband, a nurse/attorney, is nearly to the brink because he can't help me, putting my marriage at risk. My ins. is $800/mon.
