The citizens of the "dogtown" neighborhood in Oakland, California would like to be part of the city of Emeryville, California which boarders our city and shares our zip-code. Oakland is a city besieged with social, economical and blight problems. The citizens feel we would be better served by the city of Emeryville, who reportedly (at an administrative level) are supportive of our initiative to become part of their municipality.
