Allow earned income credit for people that are supporting disabled senior citizens like we already do for kids

I do everything for my mother that I would do for an infant. But come tax time I get nothing in return. I have supported her for over 10 years. I will not put her in a home unless I cannot support her anymore. So I am saving cost to medicare. I have been told that if I had given birth to her that I would receive more benefits. Why does the goverment not care about their elderly? If there was some incentive to support the elderly than the medicare costs would be lowered. Along with happier senior citizens.
