allow either party of any family law matter to opt for mediation and/or arbitration over litigation as a CIVIL RIGHT.

The foundation and bedrock of our country begins with strong families. Yet our families, including men, women and children, are suffering severe emotional distress and severe financial hardship, due to expensive, protracted, and often maliciously motivated child custody or divorce litigation. The premise of this petition is that: 1) the rights of individual citizens to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness is being routinely impeded by being dragged into family law litigation they do not want and did not ask for; 2) family law matters would be MUCH more efficiently and amicably resolved with the help of a professional mediator, arbitrator, and/or "special master" who is more qualified and better able to understand the complexities and to oversee each individual case.
