We believe that birth control is a necessary measure for young couples, and that it helps to decrease the incidence of abortion.
We understand that only 18 states allow payment under their Medicaid programs for abortions, and we feel that private employers should have at least as much freedom in this matter as the states have.
Therefore, we request that The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA), commonly called Obamacare or the federal health care law, be amended to require that all insurance plans cover birth control, but not to require coverage for abortions.
