allow enlistment into the U.S. Active Duty Army for applicants with a misdemeanor conviction of possession of Marijuana.

Created by B.R. on November 12, 2012

This petition will dissolve the restriction to enlistment that bars the United States Army applicants that have been convicted of a misdemeanor charge of possession of Marijuana from entry into the United States Active Duty Army or Reserve component.
Currently the United States Active Duty Army does not except anyone with a drug related charge, no matter how old the charge is. This petition will allow U.S. citizens to enter the United States Active Duty or Regular Reserve component with a moral waiver for a possession of marijuana charge.
This petition will allow applicants that have demonstrated a change in moral character the opportunity to serve in the United States Active Duty or Reserve component.
