Allow fairer representation of third parties and independents in elections.

Created by K.F. on March 11, 2012

Third parties such as the Libertarian and Green parties are always excluded from any form of political position, whether state or national due to laws restricting them from the ballots. Independents suffer from this as well, though there are two senators and several governors that are independent. The political system this country is fine-tuned to include only the Democratic and Republican parties, with laws such as "ballot access" giving representation only to them and ignoring all others.

Only once in the modern era has a third party candidate won any form of political office. We urge you to relax the restrictions that disallow third parties from taking office in Congress and in state governments. Please realize that there's more than just Democrats and Republicans.
