Allow faith-based organizations to acquire federal grant funding.

This petition is asking for faith-based organizations such as ministries, churches, etc. to be permitted to apply for and acquire federal funding to perform services which are vital to the support of men, women, children and families in the United States. Currently, there are stipulations which prohibit a group from applying for or receiving federal funding if the group is faith-based. This country was founded on Christian principles and as such, should acknowledge and support those organizations which seek to serve the homeless, the abused, the hungry, or otherwise burdened from a Christian platform. Churches and ministries consistently reach out to assist those in need and could do much more to relieve the burden on our welfare system and other government entities if they were funded.
