There are abandoned and foreclosed homes in neighborhoods across America that are being destroyed by the elements/environment simply because nobody wants them or can't afford them or don't have a down payment to buy them with.
If banks and owners would allow families that have proven they've paid rent and their bills for 3 years and have stayed employed for the same amount of time to buy these homes at a lower cost - with additional money to fix them up if necessary - requesting no down payments or points for the loan, these homes could be off the market and improving neighborhoods.
The money lost having the homes being destroyed by elements will be partially recovered and families will have part of the American dream. The homes that req fixing create jobs and home values go up.
