This petition is asking for consideration for the family of Uwe and Hannelore Romeikie – along with their six children to remain in the United States of America to practice what we, as Americans, take for granted. This family wants the freedom to teach their children their religious beliefs without persecution from the government. This is not permitted in their home country. They came to America to freely and peaceably practice their Christian faith and teach it to their children. If returned to Germany, this family will be broken up, the children removed from the parents. Simply to insure they receive the same education as every other German child. We, the petitioners, do not believe that this is worth tearing a family apart. Thank you for your consideration.
