Allow fathers and mothers who pay child support and are not behind to claim their children on their federal income tax.

Created by R.R. on November 13, 2012

Presently, noncustodial parents, especially fathers, who are divorced are not allowed to claim their children on their income taxes when they pay at least 25% of their gross income as child support for their children and are not behind on their support. However, they must pay the income tax on the revenue they give the custodial parent, and, additionally, they are not allowed to claim their own children as dependents. If the government is going to demand a transfer of wealth from one household to another, then at least allow the household from which it came to claim that amount in credit for child dependency on federal income taxes.
