ALL Federal Employees, including retirees, have been subjected to their personal data being hacked/stolen, including their SS# and birthdays. These are the only two items needed to steal someone's identity. Through no fault of their own, Federal Employees, including retirees, must now take steps to protect their identities from being stolen. This is a costly burden.
The cost of this burden should come from the employer, the U.S. Government. All Federal Employees subjected to this personal data breach should have the option of an identity theft protection service of their choice, paid for by the U.S. Government
