Federal employees that worked seasonal or temporarily and are now career or career conditional employees would like to opportunity to buy back credit for seasonal employment years accrued AFTER 1989. Under current law, only seasonal or temporary time prior to 1989 can be bought back by current Federal employees. Through legislation, several branches of the Federal Government have exemptions that allow seasonal or temporary employment AFTER 1989 to be bought back. Make the OPM rules consistent, all seasonal or temporary employment after 1989 should be eligible under a buy back program.
