Allow federal same sex marriage.

The US needs to federally recognize same sex marriage instead of leaving it up to individual states. Same sex marriage will in no way devalue traditional marriage and Civil Unions just do not give the same rights. Our 14th Amendment states: "No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws." Not allowing same sex marriage is violating the rights of same sex couples to be married and enjoy the same rights and protections that other couples get to have here in the US.
