The laws across all fifty states deny the ability to simply ship alcohol - one must be a retailer with a shipping permit, as a general rule. Even then, all fifty states have varying laws about what is allowed to be shpped in - in some cases, prohibiting even bringing a bottle of wine home if you buy it from out of state. This bars home brewers and home vintners from sharing their work with friends and family who live far from them.
Therefore, we petition the White House to legislate exceptions for home brewers and home vintners for fee and tax exemptions, to allow such people to ship such as gifts to friends and/or family, with the stipulation that the package MUST be signed for by a person who is otherwise legally allowed to purchase and drink alcohol.
