Allow felons convicted of non - violent crimes to regain there civil rights including right to bear arms

Created by T.H. on August 30, 2014

It's not really a just law when we take someone rights away for making a mistake. We should change the law so that non violent offenders can regain there rights as an American citizen, including the right to bear arms 7 years after they complete there sentence. That would include any probation, parole or drug courts.
If someone sold a narcotic substance and received an 8 year sentence then they would have to complete the 8 year sentence and any probation and then wait 7 years from the date of completion and then have their rights restored automatically if no other crimes have been commited. That would be 15 years and people change in 15 years. It doesn't take much to get charged with a felony nowadays. Not all felons are bad people. It could happen to any of us at anytime.
