allow female military members to have equal rights to serve as male military members.

Currently female's are not allowed the same opportunities to serve in the military as male personnel. Female military members are not allowed to serve in combat, unlike male members, even if a female can meet the requirements. In fact, female personnel are not even allowed to try out for a combat unit. The arguments are that this will making bonding difficult. This is what was said before, for people of darker colored skin or people who are gay, and now both are now allowed to serve and there are no apparent problems. It does not make any sense to keep someone from doing a job they are ready and able to do, it's like telling a great chief that he may not cook because he is male, or a blacksmith that she may not be a blacksmith because she is female. There is supposed to be gender equality.
