America is a nation that was founded on foreign-born immigrants, many of whom traveled thousands of miles across the Atlantic Ocean in search for a better life. Even today in 21st century America, our greatest strength is the fact that we are such a diverse melting pot, comprised of people from all walks of life, who have come or have had their ancestors before them come from almost every nation on every inhabitable continent on this Earth.
One truth that has remained constant throughout all of mankind is that no one has control over where they are born, thus in my opinion it is ill-advised to discriminate against someone because of this. I hold the view that this is akin to discriminating against someone over that person's race, gender, color or creed.
