With fifteen million foreign-born immigrants residing in the United States, this country could benefit well if immigrants were granted naturalization for enlisting in the military.
Serving for this country in uniform, alongside millions of American-born citizens during a time in which military recruitment is at an all time low, would serve best in the interests of America as well as the interests of foreigners whom wish to be a part of this country.
Catch-22 denies foreign enlistment unless the volunteer has a Green Card. Because green cards take years for approval, many immigrants never get the opportunity to serve.
In a time where patriots are needed more then ever, what better way to prove patriotism then to risk one's own life in the line of duty for the United States of America?
