I find it very unfair a EU Portuguese citizen having to go to Paris just to get an immigrant visa, when it will involve extra costs and this country's totally miserable not offering decent living or surviving conditions for qualified individuals. I myself having nothing but good intentions intend to move to NYC, but have found it very difficult to get a visa when the US embassy in Lisbon says immigration is "closed" and having to TRY and win the Green Card lottery not being guaranteed I'd get it when i can't afford to waste any money unsurely. That keeps people from trying to get a better and more stable life both personally and financially. Portugal offers no conditions and keeps people from getting a job just cos' they forget that to gain those 2 yrs experience requires hiring first.
