Allowing foreign trained medical professionals to challenge tests to become mid-level providers would allow permanent residents and US Citizens already trained and living in the United States to join the healthcare work force. This would improve healthcare availability and lower healthcare costs. Currently, agencies like the American Dental Association are blocking foreign trained dental professionals from doing anything without having to go deep into debt attending US Dental Schools. The medical field has the same types of restrictions. We are only hurting ourselves by not tapping into the talent already present and willing to work in the US.
