to allow funded Ph.D. students to be eligible for the Public Loan Forgiveness Program.

Created by M.F. on February 23, 2013

Ph.D. students, who teach and work as research assistants, should be eligible for the Public Loan Forgiveness Program, despite their student status. They provide a public service just like any other public service provider, and they should be allowed to choose to make eligible payments, based on their income as students, on their consolidated loan.
