It has been proposed that Dallas secede from Texas and the movement is gaining support.

Not all Dallas residents are for the idea of seceding from Texas, we as citizens of Garland, are signing this petition for the following reason.
In the event that Dallas is successful in seceding from Texas, Garland would like to remain a state functioning within Texas.
This would give the people of Garland a way to create their own whatever-we-would-become-under Texas legislature and perhaps bring Garland back to the vibrant city it could be some day.
