We the people ask the federal government to Take or explain a position on an issue or policy:

Allow a general referendum to join the United Kingdom

Created by J.C. on July 07, 2016

Given the dismal political choices that the American public face this November, we are left with no choice but to request that the federal government allow vote of no confidence in our current political system. We ask that the federal government include a general popular referendum on the subject of joining the United Kingdom this November.

Given the recent Brexit vote and associated political changes occurring in the United Kingdom, coupled with the disturbing choices being offered to the American public in the upcoming election, it is apparent that the democratic system in the United Kingdom has surpassed our own in terms of listening to the will of the people.
