Allow government backed student loans to be allowed in bankruptcy.

Created by T.C. on November 13, 2012

Government backed student loans should be allowed under bankruptcy. So often student loans are either defaulted on or defered. The problem with deferring student loans is that the interest and penalties add up over time causing the loan to be multiplied from its original loan amount. This creates an increase loan amount causing larger monthly payments. For some, the only relief from student loans will be their own death. We suggest that a one time lifetime option should be allowed under a bankruptcy law. The penalty could be 7-10 years on your credit report like most bankruptcies.
