We the people ask the federal government to Change an existing Administration policy:

ALLOW THE GREEN PARTY AND LIBERTARIAN PARTY NOMINEES TO PARTICIPATE IN THE GENERAL ELECTION DEBATES.

Created by D.L. on May 31, 2016

As this current election cycle has proven, many Americans are upset at the state of our current political system, and the Republican and (presumptive) Democratic nominees have two of the highest unfavorability ratings in history. One of the current rules for participating in the general election debates is that the candidate has to be polling at least 15%. While every candidate is held to this standard, even Republicans and Democrats, third party candidates are at a disadvantage because of our current bipartisan political system that favors Republicans and Democrats, and the fact that most polls omit third party candidate data. The 15% threshold should be waved so that the nominees from the Green and Libertarian parties can be allowed to participate in the general election debates.
