This petition would allow health insurance companies to sell health insurance across state lines. Some states only have a single health insurance provider, therefore limiting competition in that state. Health insurance companies should be able to operate across state lines, similar to car insurance companies. The idea is to increase competition among health insurance companies as one method to lowering overall health care costs
