Allow Homeowners Over 50 with Disabilities to Take Out Small Reverse Mortgages

Created by J.P. on January 25, 2014

People with disabilities who own their home should be allowed to take out small reverse mortgages before they reach 62. Many disabled folks have the same needs as seniors that are 62 and over but do not qualify for a reverse mortgage because of age.
This option should be available for those with disabilities so that they may cover things such as a new roof or other necessities.
The same rules such as housing counseling should apply and the loan should only be for small amounts.
