Homeschooling parents incur educational expenses each year to give their children a safe, loving environment in which to learn. The hours are endless.
Public/private school teachers are appreciated, but it is the right of each parent to educate their children.
Public/private teachers are not paid enough; homeschooling parents are not paid at all.
Schools receive "credit" for each homeschooled child in their district and colleges covet the homeschooled student. Giving parents the ability to deduct homeschooling expenses as educational expenses on their yearly income taxes will enable them to use a tax deduction that should be open to all K-12 (and college, if applicable) educators.
