Homosexual american citizens should be allowed to marry just as heterosexual american citizens should because they pay taxes just as others do and should be allowed to access the same liberties without laws written in religious favor stopping them. The first amendment of the constitution allows for the freedom of religion meaning that religious beliefs should not have any impact on the laws in this country. It teaches children that there has to be something wrong with being gay since their marriage is illegal and that the people around them do not favor their sexual due to the same reasoning. Many americans feel that this law is unfair and unjust in it's ruling.
