Honorably discharged veterans should be allowed aboard U.S. military installations with their VA card or a DD-214 and valid identification card. Allow these same veterans access to the commissary and exchange. Do not require an active duty sponsor for the veteran aboard the base, as many veterans (especially older ones) do not have connections in the military any longer. This allows veterans to go back and see the bases they were stationed at and share with their families what they did while in the military.
