Illinois needs to be separated into Northern and Southern Illinois because of the fact that a majority of Southern Illinios is composed of Farmers and Small Business Owners. Southern Illinois suffers the most during tax season because our tax money is rarely used in our region it mostly goes to Chicago or other areas with more "Potential." This is wrong because we all have to pay higher taxes in the end because of over-spending and therefore want to form our own state to govern. The amount of farmers alone would help support the new states economy along with the abundance of Small Business Owners.
