We the people ask the federal government to Change an existing Administration policy:

Allow the import of Mirabelle Plums. Lift the ban on tasty fruit!

Created by D.L. on December 04, 2016

In a bizarre series of origin protection laws to the Alsace-Lorraine region of France, these harmless, delicious fruits are outlawed from the US market. Similar situations with Champagne exist, yet there is no trade restriction in place that forbids its entrance to the country. Even over concerns that the fruit would be produced stateside, a simple label change to "Yellow Plums" or something similar would negate any concerns over French quality control of the produce. This ban is outdated and silly, let us end it together.
