I am asking that the FAA allow insulin-dependent diabetics to become commercial pilots. Currently, they are limited to the private pilot role.
Canada has reviewed and allowed insulin-dependent commercial pilots (note this article: http://www.diabeteshealth.com/read/2008/06/26/5807/flying-on-insulin/).
I believe that diabetics with proper control are no different than a person without diabetes. Therefore, the FAA should allow insulin-dependent diabetics into commercial pilot roles.
