If you are a licensed cosmetologist from the state of Florida you can transfer your license to California without issues. The state of maryland amongst many others have made it very difficult to do this. Although I am talented in my craft they force you to retake your exams with a company named Prometric. Prometric is not a reliable testing company for cosmetologists, I have many certifications with cosmetology and theirs is not professional.
I am asking that across the United States, for all other states to strongly consider allowing cosmetologists to transfer without having to retest with these companies. I failed the test without any reasons why by an uneducated instructor. I've been unable to work for three months and have no idea why I've been discriminated against at the test.
