Allow the major metropolitan areas in the current United States to secede from the Union.

1) Given that major metropolitan areas (and other areas of denser population) tend to be those in which more liberal-minded thinkers congregate and
2) that those areas of a more rural persuasion tend to be those in which the more conservative-minded citizens tend to live that we
A) allow those areas of major liberal persuasion to form their own coalition of allied city-states in the spirit of ancient Greece, to be known as the Free and United Cities of the Americas. And that we
B) allow those more rural and conservative areas to continue to be know as the United States, and also
C) that these new governments be allied in a most fortuitous and joyous union for both continental peace and economic liberty currently enjoyed by the whole of this great nation.
