Allow Marriage Equality Nationwide.

Created by A.P. on April 19, 2014

As of April 2014: California, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Illinois, Iowa, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont, Washington, along with the District of Columbia (17 states) currently legally allow same-sex couples to get married and have the same benefits as heterosexual couples. Colorado, Nevada, Oregon, and Wisconsin (4 states) allow some type of recognition but not marriage. Public opinion has changed drastically on this issue in every demographic. We the people need to call on President Barack Obama to take a stand and call on Congress to fully legalize same-sex marriage across the whole nation. Straight or gay, as an American you should have the right to have the lifelong commitment of marriage.
