Make May 4 to be known as First Responders Awareness Day on the American calendar. This day is to acknowledge the importance of 9-1-1 dispatchers, firefighters, paramedics and law enforcement personnel in America society. This day would celebrate those who currently are first responders, those who previously served as first responders, and those who died in the line of duty as first responders. This day should be recognized as an observance but not necessarily a federal holiday.
