allow Medical Marijuana dispensaries to continue operating legally under California's Compassionate Use Act of 1996.

Created by J.B. on October 06, 2011

Medical Marijuana dispensaries that are legally owned and operated under California state law pose no real threat to anyone. Our government should not take away a beneficial medical treatment for people with chronic pain and those with terminal illnesses, over an alleged tax discrepancy with one or more dispensary. If this is just about taxes, solve all of our economy's problems: TAX BIG BANKS THEIR FAIR SHARE.

"Under United States law, a dispensary's operations involving sales and distribution of marijuana are illegal and subject to criminal prosecution and civil enforcement actions," said letters to medical marijuana dispensary owners and landlords, signed by U.S. Attorney Laura Duffy.

Under California law, no laws are being broken. Amend the Federal law regarding medical marijuana!
