Allow Medicare to Negotiate Prescription Drug Prices

We petition the government to amend the law and allow Medicare to negotiate prescription drug prices with pharmaceutical companies. This is estimated to reduce Medicare costs by well over $100 billion over 10 years. Medicaid and VA already have this authority and are able to obtain the same drugs at significantly lower prices, as do the governments of other countries such as Canada, Australia and those in Western Europe.
