Allow the men and women of the Armed Forces to store, maintain, and carry firearms on US Military bases.

Created by E.S. on December 24, 2012

We The People hereby petition the President of the United States to change current policy and allow members of the Military to exercise their 2nd Amendment rights on board US Military bases.
There is no group of Americans that is better screened, and better trained than the US Military. Members of our military, despite receiving firearms and training are not allowed to store, or carry firearms while on military bases.
Mr. President, this needs to change.
Our Armed Forces deserve the ability to exercise their rights where they live and work.
Keeping our service members unarmed is only inviting more massacres like what happened at Fort Hood, in what was and still is, a "Gun Free Zone".
"Gun Free Zones" do not work Mr. President, not at schools, and not on military installations.
