Currently, the records of people who are under psychiatric care are not included in the FBI records that are reviewed when a person is buying a gun. If they were included, I believe a lot of people who are unstable and might later use a gun in a shooting in a school,shopping mall or wherever, won't be able to get their hands on one,at least legally.
