The Senate Judiciary Committee should hold a hearing to determine the suitability for Merrick Garland as a Supreme Court Justice candidate. Refusing to have a hearing to determine his eligibility is unjust, and any nominee the President puts forth should have a fair chance at being confirmed.
The politicization of the Supreme Court Justice nomination process has to come to an end. It is in the best interest of our country for us to get a new Supreme Court Justice, who is both eligible and highly qualified. Rejection without a hearing is simply undemocratic.
