Allow military members to purchase a handgun and concealed carry at the age of 18

Created by G.P. on October 19, 2015

Currently for all citizens of the United States it is required to be 18 years of age to purchase a rifle or shotgun and 21 years of age to purchase a handgun and concealed carry. I believe that military members should have an exception to this rule and be able to purchase a handgun and concealed carry at the age of 18. Military members are all highly trained in all weapons and weapons safety. We all have years of training in the most stressful and hostile of conditions. If an 18 year old can go defend our country then he/she should have the right to purchase a handgun and defend themselves. With the gangs nowadays putting prices on military members heads it is becoming more and more dangerous to be identified as a serviceman. I'm currently serving and hope you consider signing, thank you.
