When it comes to deterring threats, law enforcement professionals, military police in the rank of Staff Sergeant or above, and LEOSA-credentialed individuals possess skill sets and mental fortitude that go “beyond the average citizen”. Enough is enough. We must give our law enforcement community more discretion and our service member more protection. Extend LEOSA certified, specifically military soldiers who work in law enforcement, the ability to carry concealed weapons on military installations. Include the authority to carry weapons while off duty or on a military installation by Executive Order without violating DoD or federal laws pursuant to that of the civilian police community.
