Military retirees as promised by the government for their long service and sacrifice receive low cost medical insurance currently it is provided by the TRICARE system. By law military retirees turning age 65 must enroll in Medicare Part B and their plan is changed to TRICARE for Life. For a retiree with a spouse enrolled in TRICARE Prime their insurance premiums will go up by of 517%, this increase comes when their income dwindles due to retirement. Military retirees through their sacrifice and service have earned the low cost medical service they were promised, but at age 65 congress has decided not to recognize their service and make these retirees incur extra expenses when money is tight. Make congress exempt military retirees from Medicare and retain the TRICARE plan of their choice.
