Allow military service members to peacefully opt out of their military service obligations without punishment.

Created by W.T. on December 05, 2012

Those who sign this petition the President to consider allowing service members to peacefully opt out of their service obligations. Other government employees such as DOD civilians have the right to separate from their jobs, why shouldn't the military?

So long as the following criteria is taken into careful consideration, service members should have this right too.

CRITERIA:

- No punitive actions pending against SM.
- SM has succesfully completed at least 1 enlistment obligation.
- The SM has served their country abroad either in peace efforts or war.
- The SM has no financial obligations to the Government or military

These can be subject to change, but should be considered. Thank you.
