Quickly write and enact federal legislation allowing citizens, as of no later than their respective 12th birthday, to change their legal gender through a convenient, affordable, and widely accessible process. This decision must be outside the influence of parents or legal guardians. It may be reversed by the individual, but parents/guardians may not appeal either decision at any time, under any circumstance except via delivery of notarized paperwork expressing the individual's sincere wishes to do so. This transition must provide all rights and allowances afforded to those assigned the individual's gender of choice at birth, and should remain effective until reversed, meaning that funeral arrangements must be in accordance with the individual's legal gender at their time of death.
