We feel that the fact that the best helmsman in the universe is not allowed to pilot one of the best fighter planes ever created is a rank and unseemly injustice and should be rectified immediately.
Mr. Takei has demonstrated his ability to operate a wide variety of air and space craft on many occasions - including, but not limited to both Constitution and Excelsior class star ships, a variety of shuttle craft, a Klingon Bird of Prey, and a Huey 204 helicopter - and he certainly would be capable of operating something as relatively simple as the F-14.
Considering his excellent credentials, we can only presume the prohibition against Mr. Takei is a result of either his Asian heritage or his sexual identity and needs to be corrected.
